For Sale is my VW Touran 7-seater. It has a replacement engine (with proof, see invoices) that has now covered 112k. The replacement engine was done in June 2024. For Sale is my VW Touran 7-seater. It has a replacement engine (with proof, see invoices) that has now covered 112k. The replacement engine was done in June 2024. It is an AJM Series engine, from a 2001 Golf. These engines are far more reliable than the original BXE Series that, unfortunately, seized! The engine replacement cost £3200! A large part of this cost was to convert the engine for the 6-speed gearbox, whereas the Golf only had a 5-speed box. Again, all done professionally. It’s a 1.9 diesel.
The car has a few knocks, which were all on the car when I bought it. However, the body itself is in VGC, and shows none of the usual rust on the wheel arches, etc. The paintwork has a few “patches” where it looks like some kind of polish was added, but then not polished properly. I have owned the car for 4.5 years. It has 3+ owners.
Please note, the roof bars will NOT be included in the sale.
It is MOT’d ’til 7th April 2026.
Bits of note, the air-con has a leak. Now, whilst the condensor doesn’t look in the best condition, it never leaked prior to the engine swap, so we believe it is just a seal?
There is an aftermarket hands-free Parrot Bluetooth kit, professionally fitted. The stereo is a 6cd version. All headrests, including for the 2 hidden seats, are present. There are 2 fully working, keyfobs for the car.
