Volkswagen T5 Camper van 2005. 2.5 5 cylinder 130 bhp 6 speed LWB
We have owned the vehicle since 2017 and it has been excellent
Formally converted from a van with the DVLA ,into a ‘Motor Caravan’ also in 2017
Has 169k miles on the clock atm maybe a bit higher as still using!
Pretty sure it has never been a builders or courier van – I know the two previous owners to me and Ive had it 9 years.
MOT’d till Mar 2027
Good stuff
Drives really well and is in overall very good mechanical and internal condition.
Has a lift up rear door (tailgate hatch?) as opposed to standard barn doors
Its fairly quick, returns 40 ish mpg and doesn’t need adblue.
Has the following as part of the conversion which sleeps 4 at a push (really 2 adults and 2 kids)
Has had (over the years) New Turbo (not recon) Upgraded ABS module and sensors (v rare!) new clutch, dual mass flywheel and master cylinder.
17’’ VW 5.1 wheels with recent Falken front tyres, Full Service by independent vw specialist 27/2/26. Lots of history before and during our ownership. Full photo history of build.
Has Mk1 Golf GTI pattern front seat covers (and the original seats are near mint underneath) , Kenwood stereo with 4 Alpine speakers, cruise control, reversing camera, electric front windows and the original VW fitted moulded rubber floor in the cab (with a removable carpet over it) – Really easy to mop out if a campsite is muddy.
Not so good stuff
The paint has a variety of minor blemishes and scratches and there is a dent and scratch in the sliding door.
The fridge has a scratch on the front where something fell on it.
The headlining in the cab is a bit saggy.
