My car is generally in very good condition, I’ve spared no expense on keeping her going in the 7 years I have owned it. Mechanically, the car is sound, everything it’s needed; it’s had done. I’ve modified it only with desirable and sensible mods, still keeping the stock look and only using the most sought after aftermarket parts (Bilstein, Milltek etc) – The car comes with the full spec that was available at new (cruise control, heated seats, and of course – the very rare sat nav from 2002.) Cosmetically, the car needs some TLC, it will need a couple thousand spent on it to get it back to how it should be, however I’ve reflected that in the price. I’ve been very honest about the good and the bad parts about my car, you can find that info below. I hope whoever buys this car loves it and cares for it as much as I have, it has 148000 miles on it but many more to go, and it still puts a smile on my face every time I put my foot on the pedal.
Good points:Only 2 ownersFull service history (the actual service book is full and then there’s £10000+ in receipt’s)Just passed MOT, you have almost a year left.Timing chain done at 125k milesClutch/DMF done at 122kGood amount of brake pad left on all wheelsFull aftermarket exhaust (lucifer manifolds and cat, Milltek backbox)Bilstein B16 CoiloversVibra-technics Engine MountsOil and filters regularly changedGearbox refurbished when the clutch was done.2 Brand new tyres on front, 2 like new tyres on back (Maxiss and Michelin Cross Climate)
Bad points:Age related marks (Nothing too bad, stone chips etc as expected, interior broken ashtray – normal golf wear and tear…)Drivers seat bolster worn and stitching on back seatDashboard trip computer LEDs need fixing, you can only really see when cold.Alloy wheels need a refurb, they’re not curbed very much but the lacquer has come off.Headlight ballast screws broken, however they have a temporary fix and both xenon’s are working correctly.P0492 – Secondary air code very occasionally pops up, it could be weeks or months but goes on its own and there is no problem with the air pump.
If you have any questions at all, please ask, and you are more than welcome to come and see my car and test drive (with insurance) if you arrange a suitable time with me.
So that’s it, my car is for sale, at auction, starting at a very reasonable £5000, no reserve, for 10 days. Happy bidding. Please note, the car is also listed on autotrader and R32oc.com for the buy it now price of £8500.On 18-Jun-24 at 08:34:01 BST, seller added the following information:Another mention: The plastic wheel arch liner on passenger side is worn, and the engine drip tray is missing. I’m prepared to deduct £200 off the final selling price as I forgot to mention this before bidding began. On 18-Jun-24 at 08:42:44 BST, seller added the following information:In response to question about bodywork in more detail – – – Hello, bodywork is probably 6/10, the roof has had some bubble rust in the past but has since been sanded out and painted over, the job could of been done better, but there is no rust there. Wheel arches are rust free as they’ve also had some patchwork done. The stone chips on the bonnet will need the same thing in the future but I was a bit scared to do that because I wanted it to be more professional to blend it in. The front bumper and side skirts have faint scratches/paint flaking but it’s only plastic so wasn’t a priority but could easily be resprayed. Thanks for you interest – Andrew
