Here is my beloved mk2 golf forsale. This is a very reluctant sale but a change of circumstances forces me to sell.
I have owned this car for about 9 years and it has been dry stored ever since and never taken out in the rain. The conversation was done by myself and my friends and it’s a wicked little car.
Genuine gti 16v shell
The front end is Polly bushed so it is very ridged.
It is lowered on unknown springs and has new top mount bushes and bearings all round.
It has MTECH dimple and grooved discs all round that have covered no more than 100 miles.
The wheels are genuine G60 15” steels with 2 almost brand new front tyres. The rears also have loads of life left in them.
It has a 3” track slag down pipe and the rest of the exhaust is a 2.5” straight through track slag.
Genuine gti 16v rear lights
The engine is a 1.8t BAM
It came out of a car with 70k on the clock but I don’t have the proof of that.
Before the engine was put in it had the headgasket changed along with head studs
New cam belt
New aux belt
New silicone hoses for the boost pipes and cooling
All for my own peace of mind.
It has a forge 007 recirt valve
Battery relocated in the boot using a saxo battery tray and e36 cables.
Wiring harness was done by a friend of my who is also a wizard at tweekcustoms
Brand new radiator with slim line fan
Toyo sport intercooler
Mk3 gti fuel tank and pump
Long ratio mk3 golf gear box with new clutch kit.
O2j selector tower
Inside the car it has original recaro seats sat on non genuine bases
The door cards match the seats
The rear has a carpeted false floor as I couldn’t find a matching rear bench.
It has electric windows
A sun roof
Central locking
Washer bottle relocated in the boot
160mph clocks
Green tint windscreen
All reg matching windows
Down sides to the car.
It is over 30 years old and has original paint but the paint isn’t 100%. Tgere is some slight lacquer peal in places and stone chips.
The rear beam could do with new bushes.
A relay needs putting in to stop the oil light flashing.
Drivers window mech is broken so windows won’t go down.
It would benefit from proper coilovers but I’ve never had an issues with what is on the car.
Front grill isn’t the most secure but it’s never flown off.
Wheels could do with a respray.
I could never get the gator to fit properly over the gear stick.
The car is out of mot at the moment but it will have one before a sale is done.
I absolutely love this car and it was used as my wedding car so it had to be right. I’m gutted it has come to this but it needs must.
I don’t want to swap
I cant meet at the drop of a hat due to work
No I won’t take 3k tomorrow. The price is very fair for what it is.
